Many industries that are part of a Government supply chain here in the UK are being requested to obtain Cyber Essentials or Cyber Essentials PLUS Certification. This is a baseline level of security that the Government’s National Cyber Security Centre expects companies in its supply chain to implement.
The way this is achieved is through both technical implementation of IT Solutions, along with internal Policies & Processes put in place for employees.
At Black Cat IT Support Ltd based in Rochester, Kent, we are here to help you with both. As a self-assessment process, the Cyber Essentials questionnaire will appear daunting to small businesses that do not have an IT department of their own. Having successfully navigated this process with a number of our customers, we would be happy to liaise with you on a Consultancy basis to ensure that you have all the things in place for the best chance of achieving your certification.
For a small company of 10 employees or less, we can usually cover off a Cyber Essentials Certification in 1-2 days of Consultancy spread over the course of a week or two. And if you come back to us the following year for your Cyber Essentials renewal (much like an MOT) then we will be ready to work through it more efficiently.
You can read more about the requirements at the Nation Cyber Security Center‘s website here – https://www.ncsc.gov.uk/cyberessentials/overview
Or if you would like to talk to someone local for an informal chat about your requirements, please give us a call on 01643 95 95 95 and ask for Ian. Else, feel free to use the form below.
